For the second year in a row, The Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP) Completes 2019 Advocacy Training course in Al Mafraq and Ma’an Governorates, as part of its blended learning and behavior change for local development project through the European Union support project for civil society organizations.
For the second year on the row, The Jordanian breast Cancer Program carried out an advocacy training course for a group of activists in the local community institutions in the governorates of Ma’an and Al Mafraq, which continued for a period of three training days in each governorate, during which a group of activities aimed at building and strengthening the capabilities of the Jordanian community in non-governmental organizations in the various Jordanian governorates and empowering the participants for gaining support of priority issues, such as; supporting the implementation of the smoke-free law in public places in the local community, gaining support and working to provide a supportive environment to facilitate society and women to follow a healthy lifestyle, ensuring women’s right in society to access early detection services and gain support and advocate for the right to access high quality cancer treatment services.
This training is one of the activities included in the European Union supporting project to support the civil society organizations in the field of integrated education and behavior change for local development, "the advocacy program", which aims to educate society on the topics raised.
